Gareth Withers is wildly enthusiastic about writing songs. He first discovered his love for song writing at the tender age of five, when he and his brother wrote a song called "We Love Sammy" about their favourite cat! Many years passed by, as did many cats and Gareth`s affection for pen, paper, piano and microphone increased. In 1997 Gareth headed to University in London and started to think more seriously about writing for Musical Theatre. He joined the Performing Arts Service in Coventry in 2003 as a Peripatetic Music/Drama teacher and saw this as a great chance to put his writing skills to the test. He started to write songs and scripts for school assemblies, summer courses and musical theatre groups. The songs were an instant hit and so Gareth decided to create a number of exciting musicals for schools.

Gareth is a firm believer that schools should have an enjoyable and engrossing time when performing and singing. Therefore his Musicals and Songbooks aim to inspire children, provoke social discussion and most importantly aim to put the FUN into singing. All the songs have catchy melodies, imaginative rhyme, simple rhythm, witty language and will have children and teachers singing along even after home time.
